Drone Operator for Film & Television Production

Kirk Watson is a BAFTA-winning drone operator and aerial cinematographer with over a decade of experience in film and television.

Based in Scotland, he delivers cinematic aerial footage for feature films, documentaries, commercials, tourism campaigns and broadcast productions across the UK and internationally.

Kirk operates the DJI Inspire 3 with X9 air camera with 5 prime lenses for high-end cinematic productions, alongside the DJI Mavic 4 Pro 512GB Creator Combo with 4:2:2 10-bit All-I recording, and the sub-250g DJI Mini 5 Pro, offering greater flexibility for filming in built-up and busier environments.

Two-operator Inspire setups available when productions require dedicated camera operation.

CAA-approved UK drone operator with PDRA-01 authorisation, EASA A1/A3 and A2 European qualifications, and worldwide insurance. Access to Operational Safety Case (OSC) operations is available where required for more complex filming in built-up or restricted environments.
